A little bit about us:
Creating Connected Communities’ mission is to enhance the lives of children and families experiencing hardship by empowering teens to become community leaders and volunteers. Through 40+ community outreach programs, including its signature Program, Amy’s Holiday Party, CCC serves 7,000+ children and families each year and offers hundreds of teen volunteer opportunities annually. At these programs, children receive meals, books, gifts, educational support, community-building experiences, and much-needed resources. CCC’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) is an up to 4 year-long experiential-learning program that empowers Jewish teens in 8th-12th grade to develop their Jewish identity, values, and leadership skills as they implement these programs. CCC currently engages 300 teens in LDP across Atlanta. We need innovative and enthusiastic team members to help us increase our community impact!

Creating Connected Communities (CCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide life-enhancing programs for children experiencing hardship by empowering teens to become engaged community leaders and volunteers. CCC is committed to being an inclusive organization that represents our community and is dedicated to meeting the needs of families from diverse ethnic, social, religious, and economic backgrounds.
CCC’s Leadership Development Program (LDP) engages Jewish teens in grades 8–12 in meaningful and interactive community service, supporting thousands of children and families each year. We teach critical leadership skills and empower hundreds of teens to become engaged community leaders and volunteers across Atlanta. With locations hosted at Temple Sinai, Congregation B’nai Torah, Gesher L’Torah, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, the 2024 cohort includes 295 teens.
Under the direction of the Experiential Educator Director, the LDP Mentors are responsible for implementing the LDP curriculum and community outreach programs. Mentors work with the Education Director to continually improve the program and implement growth plans. The LDP curriculum is experiential, informal, and project based. There are guest speakers, small group activities, group discussions, and program planning sessions. The mentors will be responsible for facilitating 10 of these sessions per year using a pre-written curriculum. There is a once-a-month mentor training session with the Education Director. There are also monthly CCC community programs where the mentors will sign up to assist with set up, implementation, and clean up, pending availability. Most importantly, mentors serve as role models for our teens, empowering them to be engaged, knowledgeable, empathetic, aware, and passionate leaders.
